Having spent my first some 30 years in Sweden, I wrote an article a while back addressing some of the misconceptions about Sweden among Americans. Judging from the response, it helped fill a void for those who have a gut feel that Sweden may not be the answer to our prayers but who do not necessarily have the arguments to back up their position.
With Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail touting Scandinavia as a poster child for where he wants to take America should he become our next President, this may be an opportune time to republish the article to the growing readership of SEPARATE!
I have no illusions that Sen. Sanders will change his mind. But our country is full of independently thinking men and women who are perfectly capable of making up their own minds, and perhaps we’ll help a few steer clear of his rhetoric.
