Introduction
The second day of proceedings in the Miller case started at 9.45am as scheduled following the swearing in of a new judge of the High Court. Three QCs appeared for the remaining Claimants: Helen Mountfield QC, Patrick Green QC and Manjit Gill QC. The Government case started at around 11.30am and was opened by the Attorney-General, Jeremy Wright QC, then James Eadie QC who took up the rest of the day, finishing his submissions at 4.30pm – which was also when the court rose.
