“We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert”. - J Robert Oppenheimer.

This is complete and utter BS..
We had the warmest year ever. We di not have an El Nino
The chances of 4 consecutive days of over 40C in a row has dropped like a stone.
The bush fires were in EVERY state.
within 20 years we had not one but TWO 1 in 100 year droughts.
It was the driest ever year.
Hazard reduction requires humid conditions for control, it requires a budget, it requires labour, they also requite control unless you want to destroy homes indeed some towns, not just homes. were destroyed even though they had hazard reduction.in 2018 we had hazard reduction in Hornsby that almost destroyed homes in West Pymble and the like.
Just try and link a crediblele blog who do not ban people when they show an interviews of three bush fire experts because wait for it, it was on the ABC.
Denialsits wil always deny. By the way I notice no correction to your incorrect 1974/5 article..

Let me add more.
Because it was sooo dry and given very hot temperatures and and very strong winds you could have hazard reduction until the cows come home. It would not make a shred of difference.
Another question is of course how much more hazard reduction do that want. double, triple ??
now it is all risk assessment how do these ‘experts’ know this better than the various RFS’s unless these right wing warriors are now saying they are all greenies as well..
Yep those critics are that stupid and into culture that much.
