Media bias on display: the headlines should have been “Hamas terror tunnels beneath ANZAC cemetery in Gaza turn cemetery into military target, responsible for destruction of veteran headstones”

Recently a number of news outlets including the Herald and Newstalk ZB published articles about the IDF’s desecration of ANZAC graves in Gaza. Headlines included for example “New Zealand World War 1 graves among those bulldozed at Gaza cemetery”: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/new-zealand-world-war-i-graves-among-those-bulldozed-at-gaza-cemetery/3BU24SYRSNFSHGPWOBP2PT7PP4/ and “Graves of 20 NZ soldiers killed in WW1 and WW2 bulldozed by IDF at…

The headline as published was correct.
    Ie a Fact.
Suggested headline is not fact but supposition.

Those who think the NZ Heralds article is left bias seem to skip over the IDF bias. ie Terror tunnels is standard progaganda talk from the Zionist PR Machine.
    Step one in Propoganda.
Denigrate anything from the opposition side.
    EG
Vietnam, Americas enemy were called gooks to dehumanise them. (Refer My Lai massacre)
Trump uses this technique frequently. Sleepy Joe for Joe Bidedn.
Narco Terrorist Boats an invented term to dehumanise the destruction of supposed smugglers boats on the highs eas.

The use of Terror tunnels falls in to this category.

They are just tunnels. Usage can be for many things including use as bomb shelters. Medical stations in war zones, storage facilities for arms, exposives and combatants. Take your pick.

Secondly. The item that intrigues me
Why bulldoze tunnels? Surely bulldozzing is a surface oriented activity. Tunnels we are told are many metres underground.??
Maybe it was an attempt to “”fill in”” access points to the tunnels. There are much easier or more precise methods. Putting big bangs in the access shafts to collapse them. Flooding said tunnels.

But of course someone at IDF thought bulldozing would be better(Suggests to me that maybe the activity was not about destroying tunnels.???) Further investigation reports the bulldozing to refer to removing sub surface structures? Does that mean foxholes. The information from IDF is, as usual, vague and open to misinterpretation.

Its not as tho the IDF is well known for its truthfull accuracy in reporting /sarc. Babies burnt in ovens, pregnant women having their bellies slashed open and babies killed October 7th, springs to mind. All from the Propaganda desk and TOTALLY debunked.

In this case I think there is much information that is not being reported on. So on balance, I dont support the long winded and assumption based headline

For those who rabbit on (Non sequitor) about bombings of Germany/Dresden in WW2. They seem to omit that this was two Highly militarised Nations in full out war (and remember the Blitz, the event that preceeded the German bombings).

Israel is a well armed country with extensive modern military bombing and shelling capacity for its occupied territory. Said terrirory has very limited military resources to respond.

Another point. It has been documented(sorry I dont have the reference at hand) that the IDF accepts civilian casulties of up to 300 to elimiate one identified HAMAS military member.

So the rabbiting on about human sheilds in todays version of the conflict falls apart when researched in depth.

    Finally:
The Reason for the Hamas October attack has been identified as being a final desperate attempt to bring world attention to the plight of the Palestinians which had been ignored by Western Powers including of course the USA which was working on further isolating Palestine by normalising relations between Arab countries and Israel. (The Abraham accords)

I am neither for or against either party of the conflict. I am a truth seeker and like most major conflicts, finding the truth amongst all the dis and mis information is not easy.

I envy thsoe commenters who view the conflict thru emotional and ideological lense
