Why the explosion in unconscious bias at age 29? Hard to judge age even by decade, but we men, misogynist bastards all, can unconsciously spot every woman aged 29+ and discriminate against them more!

Vanity Fair looks at SNL’s take on Trump and Weinstein

One of my fascinations about movie and television props is the scene where someone is wearing a wire to meet with the baddies. Inevitably, the battery malfunctions.

There is never any miniaturisation of these wiretapping devices. Indeed, this movie prop lasted well into the era where mobile phones could be turned into a listening device or a alive mike.

Vanity Fair compares Trump and Weinstein through looking at Saturday Night Live

The zinger:-

“What an idiot that Harvey Weinstein is. He could have gotten away with all of it if he had just gotten himself elected president.”

It is worth remembering:-

Trump was accused by 11 women of sexual assault and harassment in October of 2016; weeks later he was elected president.

The Classic _ Carly Simon – You’re So Vain

Am I the only one to pick up on breakup songs as an early form of cyberstalking. It is coming on 45 years later and Carly Simon’s still would not say who the song is about because she still hates two of her ex-boyfriends.

Most demanding part of #Citizenship7 High Court judgement

Renouncing your citizenship could include a trip back to the old country of your parents or grandparents that you have never ever visited. Have do you decide if it is too dangerous? DFAT travel warnings, individual threats of harm or just the level of bribes you have to pay to get anything done.
