Classic TV – Dad’s Army – The First Episode

I saw the first 2 seasons of Dad’s Army a few years ago after buying the box set. Must have been the first time I seen them since they were originally broadcast in Australia in the late 60s. Every repeat always started with the colour episodes from season 3.

Looking back on season 1 and 2, you wonder why there ever was a season 3. They are rather ordinary.

Season 3 is a classic in British comedy. One of the best seasons of any British comedy show. All that from a rather ordinary start.
