Wellington’s so called Golden Mile is under threat from Lets Get Wellington Moving zealots who have grossly overstated the public support for their radical proposals. The Wellington City Council (WCC) will formally consider these proposals in June. While they have momentum the public still has an opportunity to have its say and point out the flaws.
I have been working as a volunteer with businesses on the Golden Mile and nearby streets, who are appalled by the proposals and its associated costs. Below is a summary and a form that can be used to let LGWM and the WCC know what you think.
