Chris Bishop’s AMA with The NBR points to progress on his Member’s Bill enhancing compensation to live organ donors. He says it is likely to pass, and will possibly even do so this year. He also cited our work in the area, though he upgraded Liz’s thesis from a Masters to a Doctorate. I don’t think she’ll mind the promotion.
He also there says he supports my suggestion that live donors be given priority should they ever need a transplant, but he isn’t sure it can be accommodated in the current bill.
Hopefully there will be more Member’s Bills yet to come.
